Co-founder – Scott Smith, President and CEO

Scott Smith has a proven record of accomplishment managing both entrepreneurial ventures as well as multi-regional organizations.  He has an extensive background in product development, product delivery through multiple distribution channels, and sales management.  In 2002, Mr. Smith served as the chief architect of one of the nation’s first Identity Theft Restoration programs, which places him among the few pioneers in this industry.
Prior to forming NXG Strategies, LLC, Mr. Smith joined with a subsidiary of an international risk management company to architect an Identity Theft solution, creating a new distribution strategy for the Risk Management Group.   The Identity Theft membership programs were designed for financial institution affinity, individual and business marketing.   While there, Mr. Smith was responsible for marketing partner relationships, vendor management and Fraud Solutions Identity Theft Restoration Services.  

Prior to his partnership with risk management firm, Mr. Smith served as Senior Vice President for Union Planters National Bank, a $32 billion dollar southeastern regional bank, where he managed the sale of life insurance, mortgage insurance, estate, business and small group employee benefit plans, as well as all direct response marketing for the Insurance Division.  The products were offered through direct distribution (affinity) to over 1 million bank customers, point of sale through more than 700 branches utilizing 1,500 licensed representatives, and 70 dedicated investment executives. Mr. Smith also managed staff and department heads that were directly responsible for the specific product lines.

Mr. Smith also served as a National Sales Director for AIG Insurance, one of the largest international insurance companies based in the USA.  While at AIG Mr. Smith was responsible for new business development and marketing of direct response insurance programs to the top 50 banks in the US and Canada.

Mr. Smith previously resided in Grand Rapids, Michigan and moved to Franklin, Tennessee with his family in 1999. He earned his Bachelor's of Science degree in business with a major in Marketing, graduating from Grand Valley State University located in Michigan. His hobbies include yacht racing, recreational boating and equestrian sports.
